Records, 1635-1845.

This collection of local records is made up largely of deeds, 1682/83-1817, for land in Hingham, Mass. There is one deed for a half-pew in the "New North Meeting House Corporation," 1807. Two notebooks include notes on the history of Hingham, births, ordinations, lists of soldiers, and charts for calculating the time of day in Hingham by the sun. There are copies of town meeting minutes from the 1600s discussing laws and the construction of a road and grist mill. Both volumes are indexed. There is also a list of members of the Second Parish Church of Hingham in 1845.
